This famous ski jumping scene is in Mt. Lassen National Park. Every July there was a ski race called the Inferno! Dick Brown is the jumper! Dick served in WWII in the 10th Mountain Division. The names of the two women standing on the car [which, by the way, has "Department of the Interior" (National Park Service) on the license plate] are Miss Tunison and Miss Beverly Irish, both of Westwood, California at the time the photo was shot.
